Peer Couch Lead
2016 - 2017
University of the Free State Initiative.
Supervisor:
Mrs. S. Musgrave
Project Description: As part of the ICTise (UFS) school development projects in collaboration with Microsoft, I was trained as a Peer Coach. The program was set to stretch over a year having a full day training session once a month and then to go and implement it at my school. Our goal was to establish a sharing culture as we improved and expanded the implimentation of technology in our school. I am taking a leading role in the professional development of our staff as a culture of sharing is established among us. My team has grown to 16 people since starting the coaching initiative and in mentoring these teachers we have had many success stories one of which were a public demonstration day where parents, teachers, departmental officials and management teams arrived. We are on an exploration journey and we hope to inspire others as we move forward in this digital age.
